Morning all and welcome to Monday
after a lovely weekend I see in my inbox that actually I don’t have too much that has come in over the weekend. A lovely surprise. Grab the moment says I. L O L!
as I was opening up this blog with my verse in mind I had chance to think about recent events at work and it struck my how easy it is to break a promise.
work colleagues will often make a commitment but then through no fault of their own and probably due to tons of work coming their way they forget about the simply promise made to you. ” Yes I will send that form by lunch time” and by 4pm it is no where to be seen.
we do need to realise that no one gets up in the morning with the intent of letting others down. But stuff happens.
for my part the verse I take into this week helps me focus on keeping my word no matter how busy. Let your yes be yes and your no be no the Bible encourages. Here is my verse for us all…
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His promise and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, (Deuteronomy 7:9)
so if God keeps His promise and will love me come what may then as I have His Spirit within me making me a new person, surely as a testimony to this I should keep my simple promises. Actions do speak louder than words.
have a good week and for the first time I thought I would let any reader know that I will be praying today for all readers of these little thoughts.
