I wonder if you find like I do that work can sometimes get in the way of life! Just recently I have found that I was wishing I had had the foresight to have taken 3 weeks holiday about now due to the fact we have so much else going on. But life is not like that is it. We just need to get on with it.
And its at times like these at work that it is all too easy to pass judgement on others who seem to have all the time in the world to get their job done while I have no time at all. Laughable really and a very selfish inward consuming attitude, but there it is. Happy days!
God tells me through Paul as he writes in Romans ch 2 v 1-3
“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things.”
I bring to mind Jesus talking about a chap with a plank in his eye pointing the finger at the person with a speck in his .
So I am turned away from the attitude of ” judgement passing” which actually condemns me, to one of reflection and thankfulness as I realise that I am truly blessed with , in no particular order, the ability to be there for others, have a job that I can do, a supportive and loving family, and an eternal friend and comforter, Gods Spirit, to guide and direct me.
So all in all a a Christian at work I have much to be thankful for.
Have a good week
