Keep a watch out…..

Morning all

Off to another week at work. We had a great time with friends over the weekend and a lovely time with the Church on Sunday morning.

As always there are challenges at work – but then if we didn’t have them why would they need me! :-). but the challenges that come to mind are those that challenge my  Christian values and can so easily knowck me off track

Galations 5 vs 4-6 says “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”

Paul makes a contrast. What is there to help a person is faith working through love. These three verses are important because they introduce “Spirit” and that “faith works through love.” Faith works. It works through – meaning “by means of” – love. In other words, if a person really has faith in the right things and the right Person, he/she will produce what? Love!

What is the Bible definition of love? “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments” (I John 5:3).

So if I catch myself sounding off at someone at work, or grumbling about them to a colleague, or arguing, or not doing as good a job for what ever reason as I can, or charging a customer the “wrong ” amount , I need to remember who I am in Christ. If my Faith is real and I mean really real, then I will be displaying LOVE and the display of this is keeping his commandments.

Please do pray for me as I do for you ( whoever you are) that we might be the people God wants us to be – even at work!

Have a good one
